At Guide Dogs this last weekend, we had a gorgeous black female poodle, only a year who, who was in for suture removal after a stomach tack surgery (for bloat prevention). She was so beautiful and full of energy, but the thing I liked about her best was that she looked like a baby Keno (Bonnie's eleven year old black standard). The icing on the cake was that her name was Shawn. :)
I spent much of the morning with her, bathing and grooming her to prepare her for going home to her raisers. I used a blow dryer to poof out her coat, then combed the tangles from her ears and tail. She was an angel, took all the pampering with the grace expected of a standard poodle.
She was a total wiggle butt, so it was a bit of a challenge to get a photo with her.
