My Counselor, Laurie

Laurie has been my transfer advising/academic counselor almost the entire time I have been at College of the Desert. I do not think I could have survived without her! She always was there to answer my crazy, stress-induced questions and calm me down. She was right there with me as I wavered back and forth between vet and vet tech (always telling me to follow my dreams and go vet). She kept saying, won't you consider UC Davis? And I kept replying, no, no, I want Cal Poly. Only to discover their program is impacted. Only to be sitting here two years later, accepted and enrolled at Davis. She was one of the biggest impacts on my life  for my baby college career, and I will never forget her! <3
